My name is Sara Lewis.  I have responded to God’s calling on my heart to use my writing and speaking to encourage, inspire and walk alongside women who long to enrich their faith-walk and discover their unique spiritual gifts to play their part in building bridges in God’s kingdom.

 

My writing includes several books: “Walking on the Waterways: Parables from Sailing”, “Called to Pray: An Intercessor’s Toolkit” and its companion "Called to Pray Part 2: A-Z Scripture References". I also love writing devotions and have published several. With intercession another calling on my heart, I have formed two ecumenical groups of intercessors, CORD (Chain of Redeemed Daughters) and WatchWomen on the Wall, as well as a weekly prayer group (Watch an Hour) at my local Anglican church. In addition, I have organized, sponsored and spoken at seven interdenominational Focus on Prayer events for our Christian women's community.

 

After I retired as a journalism instructor, my husband Monty and I realized our dream of winter liveaboard sailing in the Bahamas, which led to publishing the Explorer Chartbooks (navigational charts and cruising guides). We are blessed to live in West Ocean City, Maryland, on the beautiful Eastern Shore of the DelMarVa peninsula.
