LEAFBLOWER

“Having [spiritual] gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them…if service, in our serving”(Romans 12:7 RSV).

“What can I do to help?” We often say that to a friend who is in need or suffering from grief or illness. But sometimes it is a lame response. We may see that there are needs in general but don’t know how to put real service into action.

My friend (we’ll call her Len) showed me recently how to put power behind those words, Leafblower Power.

Beautiful writings, and thoughts to consider. In my younger years as I mentored teenage girls for four years at my church the Lord showed me gifts of healing. It’s hard to put into words all these years later, but it was a JOY to experience.

One day I’ll gather more thoughts and words on this subject, and write.

🎏 RECOGNIZE🎏

“Then he said to them, ‘So thick-headed! So slow-hearted! Why can’t you simply believe all that the prophets said?’”(Luke 24:24 MSG).

Would we recognize Jesus if He suddenly appeared walking right beside us in bodily form?

I’d like to think I’d know Him instantly, unlike several followers who, encountering the risen Christ in that 50-day period before He ascended into heaven, didn’t know Him at first. What would it take for me to recognize Him?

LIGHTBEARER: 🔆RADIANCE🔆

“So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image” (2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT).

Small, indistinct gray clouds loll around the horizon, crowning the terraced castle-like Grand Hotel. Suddenly they light up with orange-gold smiles as the sun kisses them “Good morning.”

I automatically burst into a grin at this glorious God-wink to start my day. Even though I had to get up before the alarm jangled to get to see this, it was a treasure not to be missed.

LIGHTBEARER CALLING: ADVANCE TEAM

Luke 10: 1-11, 16-20

“…the Lord appointed seventy others and sent them out on ahead of him in pairs to every town and place where he himself intended to go” (Luke:10:1 NIV).

When Jesus planned a hillside chat for 5,000, he didn’t just show up to teach and miracles happened. He sent out his own Advance Team of LightBearers in two by two before him to survey the area. His large gatherings were intentional, not random.

SHIFT THE ATMOSPHERE

🌪️ ☀️LIGHTBEARER: SHIFT THE ATMOSPHERE🌪️ ☀️

But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait but how we act while waiting] kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” (Galatians 5:22 AMP).

Is your Word for 2026 found in the Galatians list of evidence of the Holy Spirit living in you, the “fruit of the Spirit”? Then you’ve picked a good place to shift the atmosphere as a LightBearer.

AVAILABLE

“After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive” (Acts 1:3 NIV).

Jesus didn’t just leave us after the resurrection, with a this-is-all-you get attitude. He “presented himself” to us. The NLT and MSG versions say “appeared”; and AMP “showed himself alive.”

He demonstrated with human acts of living proof—taking time to be physically in the moment comforting Mary Magdalene and the women, walking along with the travelers to Emmaus, joining the fearful disciples gathered behind a locked door in the upper room, finding time to personally convince doubting Thomas, joining the fishermen disciples for the great catch in the loaded net, even having breakfast with them ashore. In other words, he made himself available to his devoted followers to back up the angel’s encouragement: Do not be afraid!

THE LIGHT OF A SMILE

😋

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love” (Ephesians 4:2 NIV).

Marianne’s plane was delayed three hours.  As more time went by sitting and waiting with no control over circumstances, people around her were getting upset.  Agitation escalated and folks began playing the complaining and blaming game.  The flight attendant inside the small airport was getting bombarded with questions and negative comments.

A woman of prayer, Marianne took a different approach as she stood near the attendant’s post. Instead of grumbling and murmuring, she smiled and told her it was not her fault.  The Light from LightBearer Marianne filled the attendant’s face as she reflected the smile and thanked her for a simple but great act of kindness.

👓👓Seeing What Truly Matters Most👓👓

There is a profound shift from human vision to God's Sovereign sight. While our world obsesses over outward appearances, scripture reminds us that human sight is severely limited. God sees what truly matters. Through David’s anointing, Psalm 23, the blind man’s healing in John 9, and Ephesians 5, we learned to see through His eyes.

As we continue our week, let us remember these five important lessons:

1. Stop Judging by the Cover: God looks at your heart and character, not your outward success or social media filters.

2. Trust the Presence, Not the Path: In dark valleys, you don't need to see the exit if you are holding the Shepherd's hand.

 3. Admit Your Blind Spots: True spiritual sight begins when you humbly ask God to reveal where you might be wrong.

 4. Look for Miracles in the Mess: Just as Jesus used mud to heal, God can use…

Sharing a Comment on "Seasons"

My nonogenarian friend commented in an email to our LightBearers posting on Seasons:

I am in a NEW Season of life. don't try to define it just-- go with whatever God's plan is for me....trusting that it will be wonderful.  Yes. I am a bit slower now;, that's okay, because I am blessed to still be pretty healthy in all ways. I simply believe that He has kept me here for a reason; I find that I make decisions more intentionally ...and pray the same way. For myself, I ask little, for He has given me all I need, and more. My concerns are for my family and friends

I have been in a time of slow-down , having to give up some of the things that have been part of my activities....but that is changing and some of those things are being renewed again All in all, for me,…
